Information we collect

The contact form may collect a name, email address, company, website, service interest, campaign scope and message. Campaign correspondence may include biographies, credentials, target pages, examples, approval notes and billing records.

How the information is used

Information is used to assess campaign fit, respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, deliver accepted services, write approved outreach, maintain records, prevent abuse, resolve disputes and meet accounting or legal obligations.

Service providers and recipients

Hosting and server logs are processed through the hosting provider. Email is processed by the provider configured for the pr@editorialbacklinks.com mailbox. Campaign information is shared with journalists, editors or publishers only when needed for approved outreach. Payment information is processed by the provider identified on the invoice and is not collected by this website.

Cookies and tracking

The current website does not install advertising cookies, analytics tags, chat widgets or behavioral tracking scripts. Essential server logs and security records may still be created by the hosting provider.

AI-assisted pitch generation

When you use the HARO/Journalist Pitch Generator, the journalist request, expert bio, generation settings and related instructions you submit are sent to Google's Gemini API so the service can generate a draft. Google processes this information under the Gemini API terms that apply to the project's service tier. Do not submit confidential, sensitive or unnecessary personal information. Generated responses should be reviewed for names, credentials, numbers and factual accuracy before they are sent to a journalist.

The generator is designed to ground personal claims in the bio you provide, but AI-generated text can still contain mistakes. The person submitting the final response remains responsible for checking the draft.

Retention periods

  • Unconverted inquiries: up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact.
  • Campaign drafts, approvals and delivery records: up to 24 months after the engagement ends.
  • Contracts, invoices and accounting records: up to seven years where required for business and tax records.
  • Routine server and security logs: normally up to 90 days, subject to the hosting provider’s settings.
  • Records connected to a dispute, fraud concern or legal obligation: until the matter is resolved and any required period expires.

Legal bases

Depending on location and context, processing may rely on steps requested before a contract, performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business, consent or a legal obligation.

International processing

Hosting, email, payment and publisher services may process information in different countries. Appropriate contractual and operational safeguards should be used where applicable.

Your rights

Where applicable, a person may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a copy of personal information. Some records may be retained where required for contracts, accounting, security or legal claims.

Security

Reasonable access controls, account security and data-minimization practices are used. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
